Sullivan 4-H Growing U Participates in RGVLS

Sullivan 4-H Growing U hit a new milestone this year by participating in RGVLS (Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show). Students were able to apply their knowledge and hard work in an annual competition that has been going on for over 80 years. Not only did Sullivan 4-H compete in the Horticulture Division but we had many students who also participated in the Photography Contest. With the guidance of 4-H leaders Dustin Harper and Flor Cuevas, along with administrators, parents, and teachers, our students were able to experience for the first time what competition entails and apply what they’ve learned to next years competition. Competition results are as follows:

Photography – Leland Alaniz 1st Place, Arianna Anderson 1st Place, Jon Montemayor 1st Place, and Madison Gomez 2nd Place

Horticulture – Arianna Anderson 6th Place
