H2Grow Club participated in One Day 4-H! 4-H members, parents and volunteers came out on a chilly day to plant this semester’s seeds. These leaders stepped out into their community and gave back to support Texas 4-H.
Before planting, the 4-H members lead a healthy recipe demonstration called Cinnamon Carrot Crunch. They got their Vitamin A before working on the garden. All you need is 15 minutes to prepare!
- 4 medium carrots, grated
- 2 medium apples, chopped
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 3/4 cups of raisins (soak them overnight in 1 cup of water in the refrigerator)
- 3/4 cup of vanilla yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
