Nature Masks
Did you know that long ago that many people used nature for other things than planting? They used nature to make paint, dyes, jewelry, and also musical instruments.
We did something similar to this but we made masks, and it was fun. We used sticks, foam paper, scissors, mask template, hot glue, and leaves.
First step is that we gathered our materials, and went outside to get our sticks and leaves. Then we got our foam paper and the mask templates, and traced the mask onto the foam paper so that we could cut it out. Once we cut it out, we got the sticks and leaves and put it on the mask so that we know where to put the sticks. Lastly, we put hot glue onto the mask and put the sticks wherever we wanted to put it. Some people didn’t finish, so we put the items into a brown bag.
Me, Cinthia, made my mask look like a bear, because it looked scary, and me, Perla, made a mask that looks like an ant because I think that ants look cool close up.
